birch plywood - Russian plywood - hardboard - MDF - blockboard - cable drums - bed slats
Hardboard is manufactured according to the traditional method,
called wet process. This method, an innovation of the 1920-ies,
is based on the fundamental fact that wood fibres contain natural
glues. The method enables the activation of these glues,
without any need of additives, to assure the bonding of the hardboard.
Hardboard manufacturing has seven main steps:
Chipping wood into chips
Cleaning chips
Defibration
Forming of panels
Pressing hardboard
Cutting to sizes and packaging
Quality control
The hardboard industry is a process industry, just like the pulp industry,
working 24h/day and 7 days/week.
